Freebie Wednesday

I know, I know. Freebie Wednesday doesn’t quite have the same ring as Freebie Friday. But one of the freebies is for Thursday only, and I didn’t want anyone to miss out. There may still be a Freebie Friday post if we find more goodies, but for now you can enjoy some free coffee, improv and magazine subscriptions among other things. Take a look…
Free Coffee Bean
This is good for tomorrow only, January 14, from 4 pm to 7 pm. It’s only valid at participating The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® store locations in CA, AZ, TX and HI. Exclude San Francisco, Nevada, all Ralphs stores, military base, campus or airport locations. Offer applies to 12oz. Cafe Mocha, Sunrise Ice Blended® or Berry’d Treasure Ice Blended® drink only. No substitutions. Limit one complimentary drink per customer.
Thank you, L.A. Snark, for the tip!
Free Improv and Acting Class
Classes start Tuesday, 16 February 2010 at Glendale Community College – Lifelong Learning
Tuesdays 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the conference room of So. Calif. Presbyterian Homes Offices - 516 Burchett St. Glendale (just west of Pacific Ave. behind Marie Calendar’s)
The instructor is Mark Colson, who has been in many productions at the Banshee Theater in Burbank. Colson was nominated for the Ovation award for his part of ‘Slim’ in their production “Of Mice and Men.” He has also been on many TV series, including “Angel,” “Heroes” and “CSI-NY” as well as a recurring role on a popular daytime soap.
The class is for all levels of competence. You will learn how to think on your feet, which will help you in auditions. We do various forms of skits or inter-activity to teach us how to pay attention and work well with others. The activities change from week to week.
Thank you to Burbank Wire for the info. The only thing I’m unsure about is which age groups they are accepting for the class. I know that Glendale Community College’s Lifelong Learning Program is typically geared toward seniors, so we may need to do some investigating. I would love to brush up on my improv skills!
Discount and Free Rewards from RecycleBank.com
I just signed up for this, and it looks like an incredible program. Basically, the more you recycle, the more reward points you acquire. You can then redeem those points for various rewards listed on their site. It can be a little confusing at first. I suggest watching the demo video on their website. You will receive 100 points just for signing up. Free Stuff Times has a list of free things you can get with your 100 points. Check it out here.
And there are your midweek freebies. Enjoy!
